Tenant news
This Safeguarding Week, we want you to know that everyone at United Welsh is committed to keeping people safe, both physically and emotionally. We recognise that we have a responsibility to do the best we can for our tenants, customers, stakeholders, partners and our staff.
Our all-year safeguarding campaign is called “SOS – See It, Own It, Sort It”, because it’s crucial that we don’t keep individual concerns to ourselves.
This is our pledge: If we see or hear something that gives us cause for concern for a person’s safety or wellbeing, we will take action, and we will own that action until we are satisfied that the concern has been appropriately resolved.
As a landlord, a service provider, an employer and a partner, we have a duty of care to address concerns and we will continue to do so.
In addition to established policies and procedures, we have Designated Safeguarding Officers and regular training to help us to see and hear the signs.
This Safeguarding Week, we’re holding two safeguarding sessions with staff to plan and share ideas as the world continues to change with Covid-19.
If you have concerns for the wellbeing of a United Welsh tenant, please get in touch here.
